Frequently Asked Questions about Kopec Naturals Rosacea Relief and Rosacea

Many customers purchasing Rosacea Relief have had similar questions, so I hope these answers to frequently asked questions improve your chances of improving the quality of your skin & reducing and possibly eliminating your Rosacea.

  1. You mention my skin might appear worse before getting better. Why?

Because everyone’s skin pH and internal pH is different, skincare products work differently on different people. The individuality of our external and internal chemical makeup is also why Rosacea is such a complicated condition. Because our products are designed to improve the actual function of your skin, your skin may go through various changes while your skin pH balances. On occasion this has been the appearance of worsening symptoms. Very few customers report this effect, but my commitment to full disclosure and running an ethical business compels me to share this possibility.

The other possibility of worsening before improving symptoms is due to the fact that as your skin improves and gets better, your skin will work better and therefore become more sensitive to chemicals that are harmful. Your skin will do a better job of rejecting other products that are harmful to your skin.

  1. Why should I use Rosacea Relief alone?

You may experience an adverse reaction if you mix the potency of Rosacea Relief with other products. With Rosacea Relief your skin will do a better job of rejecting harmful toxins/harmful ingredients in skincare products, maybe even some of your other Rosacea products, and it may be difficult to heal with Rosacea Relief without eliminating these other products. There are countless chemical toxins and irritants in multiple skincare products, and it can be impossible to determine which one might be acerbating your Rosacea. I only know what Rosacea Relief can do for your skin, but I cannot stand behind my product if you are mixing Rosacea Relief with other topical remedies. If you feel you need your doctor’s permission to use Rosacea Relief alone, please do so.

  1. What should I be looking for to know Rosacea Relief is working for me?

If you see the slightest change in your skin within the first couple of weeks Rosacea Relief is working for you. If your skin is responding to the Rosacea Relief it is only a matter of time before the remedy could bring your Rosacea completely under control. Some customers are looking for completely clear skin in the first few days, and that is not always a possibility. The longer you have had Rosacea sometimes the longer it takes to undo the damage to the skin and clean the skin of the toxins, and balance the skin pH. In addition, Rosacea Relief does not replace adequate hydration and nutrition and I encourage you to drink water equaling half your own weight in fluid ounces every day for optimal water intake, and avoid sugar in all forms as much as possible even when cravings set in.

  1. How long will it take for my Rosacea to get under control while using Rosacea Relief?

Unfortunately I cannot give a specific time frame. Some customers experience significant changes as early as the first couple of days, some it takes weeks and some it takes months. If you are experiencing any change in your skin, and your skin is responding positively to Rosacea Relief it is only a question of staying the course. If you use other remedies in addition to the Rosacea Relief you are interfering in the effectiveness of the Rosacea Relief and there is no telling how long if ever your condition will get under control. Rosacea caused by the bacteria Demodex folliculorum, skin mites, skin infections and skin breakdown from chemical skincare products will clear faster and mostly likely permanently with regular use of Rosacea Relief. Rosacea that is cause by other factors such as intestinal bacteria Helicobacter pylori, IBS, hidden food allergies, and other intestinal conditions may take longer, Rosacea Relief can control your Rosacea, but you will need to consider elimination of troublesome foods like sugar in all forms and processed foods to completely clear and eliminate your Rosacea.

  1. If I cannot use other products, what can I wash my face with? Do you have a moisturizer?

We make a wonderful SLS free (see question #8) facial wash that is also a combination facial wash and moisturizer called Skin Luxury. Skin Luxury was designed to moisturize and clean the skin and because I could not find a facial wash that I could in good conscious recommend when customers asked. Too many soaps strip the skin of its natural moisture. Not only does the Skin Luxury provide proper moisture, but like all our products it will improve the skin’s ability to function, therefore maintain its own moisture. Skin Luxury contains naturally occurring sunscreen, skin nutrients and antioxidants, and the latest research on one of its ingredients, orange peel indicates it can help prevent skin cancer. It is difficult to know about other brands and their products, but since our goal is not only to clear your skin, but to improve the function of your skin, we simplify the process by reducing the contaminants (such as Lauryl Sulfates) that cause or acerbate skin conditions. Customers that need therapeutic moisture in addition to the Skin Luxury use Adult Dermatitis Relief, a therapeutic salve for the driest of skin.

  1. I purchased the complete recommended regime for Rosacea. I have the Rosacea Relief, Skin Luxury Facial Wash, SLS Free Body Wash, and Adult Dermatitis Relief. Can I have a specific recommendation for how to use these products and in what order?

Skin Luxury works best if used once or twice day depending on the level of moisture you need. In the evening wash with the Skin Luxury followed with the Rosacea Relief after washing and then they go to sleep with nothing else to interfere or contaminate your skin. The skin can improve and regenerate with adequate sleep after using our products. If you are using Skin Luxury only once a day, in the evening, then use the Rosacea Relief in the morning before putting on makeup or starting your day. Some of our male customers find better results if they use the morning application of Rosacea Relief after they shave. Some of our customers find the Skin Luxury to be too much moisture or too drying because of over-washing if used twice a day. Use the SLS Free Body Wash in your morning shower (better lather when used in a bath pouf or sponge) and some find it acceptable as a shampoo as well. Freeing yourself of Lauryl Sulfates can be an important part of your healing process regardless of what causes your Rosacea.

  1. What is SLS and why should I avoid it?

SLS stands for Sodium Lauryl (or Laureth) Sulfate or since the recent bad press on it sometimes it is referred to as Sodium Laureth Sulfate. SLS is the ingredient that causes your liquid soaps, shampoos and toothpastes to foam. But SLS is quickly becoming a well know irritant and toxin. It can be such an irritant with anyone suffering from skin conditions, that we strongly recommend avoiding any and all products with SLS. Since our goal is to help you clear your skin, we hope you will consider removing at the very least the most common skin toxin, SLS, and we know it is in everything. And we try to make this as easy as possible by providing you with SLS Free products. For the purest skincare, avoid all Lauryl Sulfates.

  1. What do you recommend for shampoo that is SLS Free and a healthy sunscreen?

Aubrey Organics is an upstanding company and has recently added an SLS free line of shampoos and conditioners. Many of our customers also find they like the SLS Free Body Wash as an all in one.

We now carry our own sunscreen due to the overwhelming demand for a quality sunscreen for Rosacea and because I was not happy with the ones I recommended, so I made my own. Simple Sunscreen, SPF 30 Sunscreen and Moisturizer.

  1. Do you have any nutritional recommendations for those with Rosacea?

Rosacea is a condition that takes a great deal of experimentation to find the solution that works for you. In many cases it becomes necessary to pay careful attention to dietary causative factors such as food triggers. Individual food triggers can vary, and you can keep a food journal over several weeks recording foods eaten and when outbreaks occur and draw a correlation to your personal food triggers. In addition to identifying your own triggers, it is important to avoid sugar in all forms (sugar, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, dextrose, maltodextrin, fructose, splenda and aspartame), avoid white flour products such as bread, pasta, crackers and cookies. Avoid drinking milk for the first six months, and avoid foods with chemical substances such as Red #40, BHT and artificial flavors. Supplements that can improve your Rosacea are a combination of the following taken throughout the day: Flax Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, B-Complex, Biotin, Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, Garlic, Burdock, all Amino Acids, and Alfalfa.
