Important Information about Pregnancy Nausea and Kopec Naturals Pregnancy Nausea Relief.

Some facts about pregnancy nausea:

Pregnancy nausea affects approximately 80% of all pregnant women. A common term for pregnancy nausea is morning sickness because the worst of the nausea can occur in the early morning, but for many it can last all day and night. Pregnancy nausea begins somewhere between week 4 and 6 and ends somewhere between week 14 and 16. For a few women, pregnancy nausea can last even longer.

What causes pregnancy nausea?

Unfortunately there are many possible causes and no definitive answer. As a result, each woman must try different solutions to try and eliminate her symptoms.

A possible cause includes an increase in the pregnancy hormone hCG which elevates during the first trimester and then decreases around week 14.

Why can Pregnancy Nausea Relief help?

Pregnancy Nausea Relief is a transdermal remedy, which means it uses the skin as an orifice to bring essential oils that have a medicinal like effect directly into the bloodstream. A transdermal remedy enters the skin and moves into the bloodstream by passing through cell membranes where the ingredients are identified by the body and taken to where the body needs it most. Although this application seems like a new and novel way to take care of an internal condition, transdermal remedies are gaining more and more scientific recognition.

How should I use Pregnancy Nausea Relief?

Use as soon as the first sign of nausea occurs, in addition, you can also use the formula every 15-20 minutes as a preventative. Rub the oil on your chest, throat and lightly on your tummy. Repeat if necessary. After rubbing the oil on your body inhale the smell of the oil by placing your hands over your nose and mouth and take a deep breath.

Most important: The amount needed for each individual can sometimes vary, often based on weight and degree of nausea. If you do not experience immediate relief, reapply the oil. You may not have put on enough.

What else can I do with so many different potential causes for my symptoms?

It can be difficult and discouraging to find the right solution. Here are some additional helpful tips to help you feel better:

  1. Smells: The body is doing everything it can to protect your baby. This means many foods can smell foul to you and even turn your stomach. The body can be keeping you from eating foods that may contain hidden harmful bacteria that may harm such a vulnerable embryo. What to do…..Avoid the smell of food as much as you can. Have someone help you with the cooking of meals, and/or keep meals simple in preparation. Avoid the combination of smells that may exist in your refrigerator. Have someone else clean the dishes. Use ingredients that are fresh and have no spoilage.  Avoid handling raw meat and eggs as these have the potential for more bacteria as a result may have a more offensive smell. Don’t be alarmed if the smell of people (even your own smell) can bother you. Keeping a clean flow of air in the house and even a fresh vase of fragrant flowers could be a help. Avoid chemical and artificial smells as much as possible.
  2. Vitamins: For some women, taking a prenatal vitamin can be difficult. Taking vitamins with food or at the end of the day can help. For some taking additional Vitamin B6 and amino acids can help. Ask your doctor for a suggestion on a prenatal that is easily digested.
  3. Simple Carbohydrates: For some, eating simple carbohydrates are more easily tolerated. Experiment with different foods that may help—being careful to get all the nutrients you need.
  4. Not just crackers: While for many women eating a few crackers first thing in morning helps, for many it does not. For some women, the body has an increased need of nutrients and calories right away and you may need to eat more variety. An example, instead of just a few whole grain crackers, try whole grain crackers with almond butter and warm applesauce. For many women, keeping something in the stomach at all times can help.
  5. Water: Staying hydrated when you have vomited is crucial. But for some, even drinking water in a full glass can be difficult. Try adding a little lemon juice to your water and sipping the water through a straw throughout the day to increase your water and stay hydrated. Filtered water can be tolerated more easily, and make sure you divide your weight in half and consume half your weight in fluid ounces. Example, a 120lb woman needs 60 ounces of water a day. Caution: If you have persistent vomiting and feel dizzy or a headache, notify your doctor immediately as this could be a sign of dehydration.
  6. Avoid brushing teeth after eating: An extra tip to keep foods down is the avoid brushing your teeth after you eat.
  7. Eating even when you don’t feel like it: Nausea can often decrease you’re appetite, but eating less foods can make you feel more nauseated. Eating no matter your appetite is important, and for some eating right after vomiting can help keep the next meal down (as distasteful as that sounds).
