Important Information about Kopec Naturals Medicinal Massage Oils

What is different about our massage oils from other brands?

Our massage oils contain analgesic and warming properties, a complex blend of essential oils addressing a variety of health issues, and are premixed with the maximum percentage allowed for transdermal application. The quality of our ingredients along with the way in which our carrier oil is processed provides the transdermal effect. In addition, our oils contain naturally occurring linoleic acid to reduce bacteria in the skin, contain naturally occurring antioxidants for the skin, contain vitamins, minerals and polyphenols to improve condition of the skin, and are formulated to improve the function of sebaceous glands and allows for proper release of sebum to ensure proper function of the skin. Our massage oils contain a cold pressed therapeutic carrier oil and natural Vitamin E to keep oil from turning rancid. Many therapists testify to the superior glide and non-greasy feeling to allow desired pressure. Due to the high potency and therapeutic application we recommend using sparingly.

What is a transdermal remedy and how does it work?

A transdermal remedy uses the skin as an orifice to bring medicine directly into the bloodstream. A transdermal remedy enters the skin and moves into the bloodstream by passing through cell membranes where the ingredients are identified by the body and taken to where the body needs it most. Using a transdermal remedy is a little different than you may be used to. Using a transdermal remedy asks you to think differently about your skin, and asks you to think differently about the way you deal with a condition or problem you’ve been experiencing by rubbing oil on your body to relieve symptoms. Although this application seems like a new and novel way to take care of an internal condition, transdermal remedies were the first medicines ever, and recently are gaining more and more scientific recognition.

Rubbing oil on your chest, neck and throat takes us back to ancient times of being anointed with oil by either a priest or a physician to heal someone of their illness. When you rub oil on specific places, you are in close proximity to some of your body’s main arteries allowing the essential oil to take the quickest path to the inside of your bloodstream. Transdermal remedies formulated from essential oils and specific carrier oils were in fact, the very first medicines. The Bible still contains some of these original formulas to treat certain ailments.

How should I use Kopec Naturals Massage Oils?

  1. Bring the oil with you to your next massage appointment and ask your therapist to use it on your body for full body or as an add-on, the choice is yours.
  2. Use at home as your own massage oil for self care.
  3. Use in the bath or shower as a bath or body oil replacing the synthetic and lower quality body oils on the market today. Your skin will thank you.
  4. Use for a quick transdermal application by rubbing on the chest, neck and throat and receive the benefits specified on the product label.

What else can I consider to improve my health in this area?

As with any health condition it is important to get proper nutrition, supplementation and hydration. This is especially important after a massage appointment when toxins can be released into the blood stream and need to be flushed through the system.

Hydration:

To ensure the proper amount of drinking water during a 24 hour period take your weight and divide that number in half. The halved number is the total ounces in water you should drink every day. For example a120lb women should drink 60 ounces of water every day.

What else should I know about the ingredients in skin care products?

Unless your product label says “100% natural” or unless the ingredients are all natural you cannot trust the product to be pure. With the popularity of the word “natural” the FDA is allowing a manufacturer to use the word natural if it contains only a certain amount of ingredients to be natural, but not all the ingredients have to be. In addition the FDA allows companies that manufacture skincare and personal care products to "use almost any raw material as an cosmetic ingredient and market the product without an approval from the FDA" (FDA 1995). Many ingredients are now being tested for their carcinogenic effect, including mineral oil which many people believe to be natural, but it is actually derived from petroleum and has been linked to breast cancer. Many chemical ingredients disrupt hormone levels in the body and can aggravate a variety of health symptoms.
