The prepaid SIM card for Belgium, along with a cell phone, is the most convenient and economical solution for staying in touch while in Belgium. All incoming calls, while in Belgium are FREE, regardless of where they originate. Pay the local rate for local calls and use your cellular phone in Belgium like you do at home. And unlike home, your Belgium SIM card and cell phone service is prepaid -- so there is no need for a contract.

Activating Your Service
Your Belgium SIM card will provide you with a Belgium cellular phone number that is printed on the reverse of your Belgium SIM card packaging.
* Customer service for your Belgium Mobile prepaid SIM card is available 24 hr./day by dialing 555 at any time from your Belgium cellular phone.
*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Belgium SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Belgium SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the Belgium SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.
**When calling overseas from the United States to your Belgium cell phone number callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 23 and then your Belgium cell phone number. To call abroad from your Belgium cell phone simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number.
Adding Talk Time
Pay&Go offers you the choice of three different reload cards(*), depending on the amount that you want to pay. You have the choice of the following amounts: € 12.5 (US$12.21), € 25 (US$24) or € 50 (US$54). The last card - for € 50 - also gives you a free bonus of € 5.
(*) These cards are available at any Proximus or Belgacom retailer, and also at the Post Office, at gas stations or at newsagents displaying the Pay&Go logo.
Belgium Domestic Rates
When you purchase your Pay&Go prepaid Belgium SIM card, the default-pricing plan is the “Original”. You may change plans, free of charge, up to three times a year (that year starts when you make the first call).

You can roam outside of Belgium and can call any European country from anywhere in Europe with your Pay&Go SIM card.
Service Life
A Pay&Go Belgium prepaid SIM card is valid for a year. Every time you reload it with an airtime voucher, the 365-day counter is reset to zero and it's once again operational for a full year.
If you don't reload within 365 days, your Pay&Go prepaid Belgium SIM card will be deactivated. This means that you will lose your Belgium phone number and any possible remaining credit. To continue to use the Pay&Go prepaid SIM card, you will have to start all over again by buying a new Pay&Go SIM card with a new phone number.
To check the expiry date yourself, dial #121# (also accessible from abroad), then press the Yes/Send/Call key (depending on the phone). You will receive a text message containing the information you want. It goes without saying that this service is completely free.
Another way of checking the expiry date is to call the freephone number 1711 from your GSM. Pay&Go will advise you of the precise amount of credit that you have left, and also the remaining period for making calls, as well as the last date for reloading your Pay&Go SIM card. Please note that, unlike #121#, this number cannot be called from abroad.
