Magnetic Pumpkin Dolls Here's a holiday variation on our Magnetic Paper Dolls project submitted by one of our customers – "Mr. Pumpkin Head" - a Halloween Pumpkin Magnetic Paper Doll with various body parts that will keep your little ones happily occupied for hours! Use a metal cookie sheet or any metal surface and let the kids dream up all sorts of kooky variations. We have included a template for the pieces shown above or you can use your graphics program's clipart collection to dream up your own variations. Why not the little ones help in choosing what parts they want? Add hats, other clothing, whatever their imaginations can dream up! To use our template, click on the link below, and when the image opens, right click on it and select "Save Picture As…" from the drop down menu. Save the file as either a .BMP, .JPG, or .GIF file according to your browser choices and make note of the folder to which you save the file. MATERIALS: Magnetic Inkjet Sheets Halloween clipart or our template (see link below) Scissors Decal Finishing/Inkjet Overcoat Spray (optional) INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Open a blank page in your graphics program in landscape orientation. If you are using our template, import it onto your blank page and resize it so that it fills the page. If you are using your own clipart, place them on the page with enough room between them to allow for easy cutting. 2) Print a test page on plain paper to check for sizing and spacing. 3) Once you are satisfied with the placement and spacing, save the file and print on a magnetic inkjet sheet. Allow to dry for about 5 minutes. If you wish to make these pieces water-resistant, spray with a light coat or two of our Decal Finishing/Inkjet Overcoat Spray. Don't spray too heavily or it will stiffen the magnetic pieces. 4) Cut the pieces out and let your kids have a ball with their "Mr. Pumpkin Head" on the front of the fridge, a metal cookie tray or any other metal surface!
