Baby Bib Birth Announcement We designed this charming and unusual birth announcement to be printed on Fuzzy Paper for a wonderful texture that makes it just like a real baby bib (but you can also use our Cotton Inkjet Fabric Sheets.) Then we glittered around the edges with Glitter Glue applied with a fine artist's brush. The brush makes the glitter go on more evenly and allows the glue to dry quicker. We took a photo of a white satin-edged bib, changed the satin color to pink in Photoshop, added text in a coordinating color and then added the new baby's photo for a finishing touch. What recipient won't think this announcement is absolutely adorable? MATERIALS Fuzzy paper Glitter glue Baby bib photo or clipart Scissors Craft knife Fine artist's paintbrush Half fold or print-to-the-edge envelopes INSTRUCTIONS 1) Open a blank page in landscape orientation in your graphics program. You will print two announcements per page. 2) Place the bib photo or clipart on the page and resize to fit the height of the page (watch those unprintable margins!) If you want to make them fit into a print-to-the-edge envelope, make certain that the bib measures no more than 7 inches high and 4 7/8 inches wide. Add text and the baby's photo as desired. 3) Group the bib with text and photo and move the whole thing to the left side of the page. Copy and paste a second bib on the right side of the page. Print a test page on plain paper. 4) Once you are happy with the layout, print the announcements on Fuzzy Paper. It is advisable to set your printer to greeting card paper and feed the sheets in one at a time to prevent a paper jam. 5) Apply a thin bead of glitter glue all the way around the colored edges of the bib and smooth out the glue with the artist's paintbrush. Set the page aside to dry for about a half hour and then you can cut out the bibs. Use a craft knife to cut out the neck hole. That's all there is to it! A simple project that will yield truly professional looking results!
