More Local video View larger E-mail clip More video Related links: Photos of damaged camera RAW: Scene of vandalism Search Video: At approximately 5:40 p.m. Thursday, DPS responded to reports that a male was taking a sledgehammer to the stationary camera on southbound State Route 51 at Bethany Home Road, according to Lt. James Warriner. A police helicopter responded to the area and observed a male running from the area. DPS is waiting to hear from Redflex to see if the suspect was captured on the streaming video. Warriner said the outer case of the camera unit was damaged, along with one of the flash units. It is estimated that the damage could be up to $6,000.
