President Barack Obama’s plan to implement a cap-and-trade program that would cut carbon dioxide emissions by 80 per cent and also sink an already battered U.S. economy into a new great depression has officially been announced on the White House.gov website.

However, the secondary phase of the agenda that would counter-balance such a move, the creation of millions of “green” stasi government jobs, has also been announced.

According to the outline for the Obama-Biden comprehensive New Energy for America plan, the new administration will “Implement an economy-wide cap-and-trade program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050.”

The proposal has its roots in the defeated 2007 Lieberman/Warner bill, “America’s Climate Security Act,” which proposed a cap and trade system to reduce carbon emissions 70 per cent by 2050.

If such a program was to be fully implemented, the consequences for the American economy would be devastating.

The 2007 bill was rejected for a very good reason - its passage would have created economic conditions comparable to a new Great Depression and sunk America to near third world status.

The Environmental Protection Agency’s economic analysis of the bill forecast that a whopping $2.9 trillion would be shaved off the economy by the year 2050 if the legislation was enacted. It would also reduce GDP by 6.9 percent - a figure comparable with the economic meltdown of 1929 and 1930, and millions of jobs would have been lost within the first 10 years of its passage.

As JunkScience.com’s Steven Milloy highlights, “For more perspective, consider that during 1929 and 1930, the first two years of the Great Depression, GDP declined by 8.6 percent and 6.4 percent, respectively.”

And what would we get for such a massive self-inflicted wound? It ought to be something that is climatically spectacular, right? You be the judge.

The EPA says that by the year 2095 — 45 years after GDP has been slashed by 6.9 percent — atmospheric carbon dioxide levels would be 25 parts per million lower than if no greenhouse gas regulation were implemented.

Keeping in mind that the current atmospheric CO2 level is 380 ppm and the projected 2095 CO2 level is about 500 ppm, according to the EPA, what are the potential global temperature implications for such a slight change in atmospheric CO2 concentration?

Not much, as average global temperature would only be reduced by a maximum of about 0.10 to 0.20 degrees Celsius, according to existing research.

Sacrificing many trillions of dollars of GDP for a trivial, 45-year-delayed and merely hypothetical reduction in average global temperature must be considered as exponentially more asinine than the dot-bombs of the late-1990s and the NINJA subprime loans that we now look upon scornfully.

Obama’s agenda to cut carbon emissions by 80 per cent is a huge leap towards the ultimate goal, expressed by the Carnegie Institute earlier this year and afforded sober credibility by the corporate media - a complete reduction down to zero carbon emissions, a completely ludicrous proposal that would return mankind to near-stone age living conditions.

The White House website also reveals Obama’s plan to “create millions of new green jobs,” without explaining what these jobs will actually be, which has led to fears that Obama’s promised “national civilian security force,” a cadre we are assured will be as strong or stronger than the U.S. Army, will largely consist of “green brigades” tasked with regulating and surveilling every aspect of people’s behavior to ensure compliance with new environmental laws that will do nothing to solve the real environmental problems but everything to get the state into people’s private lives.

Perhaps Obama plans to use the creation of a new green stasi to offset the economic impact of cutting CO2 emissions by 80 per cent. The only way in which such a gargantuan hit to the economy can be counter-balanced is with the introduction of a huge new sprawling sector where millions more Americans will be working for the state, partly as enviro-spies and informants to enforce the new regulations against the middle class.

Remember that this will all be overseen by Obama’s “energy czar” Carol Browner, who was recently exposed as as being a member of Socialist International, a highly influential group headed by a Bilderberg Group luminary that calls for the implementation of global government.

Obama DID appoint an attorney general that did up-front call water-boarding torture did he not? To me it lends a small ray of hope that Obama might just let that junk play out in court and congress so as not to pit one president against another.

I don’t have a whole lot of hope in this guy, but with this god-like approval rating one has to ask… why would he need to do anything “right” for this country or planet? Remeber the last president that grew a conscience while in office? BANG! And that was the end of that.

I’ve known about Rex 84 for years and have seen 90 percent of Alex Jones documentaries and he is the one who has opened up my eyes to a lot of things. I apologize for not seeing the story about Gitmo being closed on this site but this site does seem to always seek out the negative and never any positive. I do not support the democrats nor republicans and am not a “hope” cheer leader for Obama. I do however think that Obama will be an improvement over Bush as I think almost anybody would be an improvement over Bush. I just think most of you have become incredibly jaded and think the entire government is out to get you and need to look at things with a little more of an open mind.

We do not need to stay on oil and we do not need a green police. Has any heard of the Bussard Fusion reactor that can fuse a Boron nuclei and a hydrogen proton for massive quanties of energy.

Has anyone heard of Tesla who developed the Electromagnetic Standing wave that could be projected into the Earth and if you find the resonant frequency of the natural flow of energy in our molten enterior you can extract vast quanties of energy from this.

Many other options are available. Greed, corruption and selfishness are the barriers from stopping the advancement of our species. I have no answer on how to cure these woes.

The problem is not scientific or technological and we do not have enough oil to allow all of Earth’s citizens to enjoy a high standard of living even if Global warming is a myth, we need to move on.

M thanks for the interest. If you put in Bussard Fusion in Google it gives many sites, on some they actually describe the details of the device. It is not magnetic confinement as in the current designs. It uses an dynamic electric field generated by electron gas that are confined in a magnetic field to compress the boron and hydrogen. Byproduct is energy and helium nuclei. The material claims you can develop a 3000 MW power plant for the cost of about 100 million dollars and the reactor would be, I believe, 3 meters in diameter (far better and cheaper than an equivalent of 1500 wind turbines and more reliable).

The Tesla material comes from the books I have on Tesla. He did an experiment in Colorado Springs to light up bulbs at a considerable distance but the device blew up the generator in Colorado Springs Power Company because it was extracting some of the energy from the core. If you calculate it out, one cubic mile of molten iron gives you the energy of a few thousand Megatons, the Earth has over a billion cubic miles of molten iron below your feet. We have an organized magnetic field produced by this molten iron indicating an organized flow of energy that can be extracted.

Seriously though, Alex does tend to wallow in gloom and doom without much time spent on solid solutions other than buy guns and storable foods. Oh yeah, and “Fight the New World Order…”

I know he also wants America to return to what the founding fathers wanted, but consider this: our founding fathers were SUPER RACISTS. Obviously, the Constitution they created was deeply flawed.

Not so much the content of the Constitution is flawed, but the omissions they left out to protect against financial tyranny and Human Rights abuses are what’s flawed about the Constitution. Pretty much every dollar collected and spent through taxes can be spent on the MILITARY because the founding fathers didn’t specifically say, “YOU HAVE TO SPEND TAX DOLLARS ON COLLEGE EDUCATIONS AND HEALTH CARE,” because Americans have the RIGHT to have health care and a college degree. (Americans should have the Right to be well educated and healthy as far as basic human rights go)

So, instead of investing tax dollars directly back into our society, tax dollars go to fund the U.S. War Machine, and this was enabled by the fact that in 1913 a silent revolution occurred. The bankers created the 4th Branch of Government: The Federal Reserve and the IRS.

So yeah, there’s plenty of reasons for gloom and doom. Frankly, every American needs to wake up to reality so that they are scared shitless about what these New World Order shills are doing in Washington. Their giving us a few token gestures, which are planned way in advance to truck us thinking they are doing something for us. (closing Gitmo) But, all they are doing is playing good cop/bad cop because they are both part of the same super corrupt system.

If you know 9/11 wasn’t 19 hijackers, but secret agents, and nothing has been done to change the course of that agenda, you have to know we are headed down a dark road, and there’s no denying it.

So, the problem we’re facing isn’t that we don’t know what they’re up to, it’s that no one’s provided the solution, yet.

How do you take down trillionaires, who’ve stolen this country’s freedom, and are using America as a vehicle to pursue their own ends?

I dont know about you all, but this is total B.S. People in california arent getting state tax money back just IOU’s. Come 2-1-09 all state aid will stop. I just got my first electric bill of the year and it was over double the amount it usually is. I use very little electricity. I hate to see what my gas bill will be. The people in california are getting IOU’s but yet they still get state tax taken from their checks and losing their homes and jobs, but lets give the F%$#%$g elite Obama puppet and his string holders more money to stop carbon monoxide that is really going to fix things. I think we should let them steal some more money from us that will fix it. Its such bull#$@t!!! It really pisses me off. Obama made it quite clear in his statement regarding global warming, in which he declared that it is “beyond debate”. And that he would take action. Concerning Obama’s Climate Reduction Plans. The above article says that it is a bad thing because it would cause a huge depression. That is probably the truth. If you think about it, there will be tremendous numbers of jobs lost in the oil and power industries and it would indeed need something from God to stop this depression from happening. i’ve always wondered, if there were a problem with CO2 levels, wouldn’t it be easier (and nicer) if we just planted more VEGETATION, being that they INHALE CARBON DIOXIDE and EXHALE OXYGEN. i mean it’d decrease the supposed high level of co2 and yet at the same time, increase the ever so vital oxygen level… and even a good plant to do so would be the oh so useful hemp plant, with it’s strong fibers and versatile and edible oil. i mean that woulda been my first plug to fix the non-existent problem.

You’re right. We need to start planting things and not cutting down our forest and everything else. We only have 5% of our virgin forest left in the U.S. Brazil is losing tremendous amounts of rainforest every day. This is happening all over the world. The warming oceans are causing the coral to die, coral takes the carbon dioxide out of the water and makes Calcium Carbonate storing the carbon in it’s limestone shell. That’s how limestone is made. But the global warming is stopping this and killing the coral. Last year 80% of our Krill died. This was due to global warming. Type krill dying into a search engine are read about that. This is the very base for all food on the planet. There are articles that talk about $60 per pound salmon coming up real quick. Type Tundra melting into the Serch Engines and you will learn how dangerous that is to our global temperatures. It’s way worse than all of the oil and coal reserves burning at one time.

I know it. It really bothers me to sit at a traffic light and look directly into the cameras they have up there on the lights. Just to know they are watching you is so creepy. My boss at work a few months back said he thought it was wonderful they had cameras it was for our protection from the terrorists. Its funny because he and his wife have gotten 5 traffic tickets from those cameras. Now he says i believe that is an invasion of privacy and its wrong. I laughed and said i told you. Also too his wife went to court to fight her ticket as when the picture was taken she was all the way through the light when it turned red. The camera caught 3 inches of her bumper going though the light. When she fought it in court the judge told her not only is she paying the ticket, but now since she came in and tried to fight the ticket she got traffic school on top of it. So now i guess its against the law to go to court to fight for your rights now.

You are absolutely right, a lot of the oil companies pay scientist to say that there is no global warming. There is a petition with over 8000 PhD signatures on them saying that there is no global warming, where the PhD’s never went into the arctic. I’m now totally disabled and live in a stinking garage and that’s the truth. But I’ve seen the global warming myself. The north coast of Alaska is disappearing at about a hundred feet a year. It’s happening. The government does not want this to stop because it will kill most of the people and the people who run our government officials, want that to happen. I’m not being paid by anyone except disability. But the global warming is real. And it’s going to cause huge problems in the very near future, not in 2015 or 2050 beause if we don’t stop it now, there will not be a 2015.

Interestingly enough, Alias, every great leap in terms of the amount of life on Earth, and variety of it has been prededed by an increase in the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. The truth is that O2 breathers are the biggest producers of CO2, and plants the biggest mechanism of CO2 consumption on the planet.

Most of the problems which come as enviromental issues connected to modern Western lifestyle are localized and have to do with chemical byproducts directly consequential to manufacturing processes. Fossil fuel rendering is a relatively inefficient way to get energy, but it only has a slight effect on CO2 emissions.

There is a much darker agenda here. It is to tax people for living, by calculating your “carbon footprint.”

Now, Obama will do one of two things.

A. He will have smart advisors, and smart legislators who tell him the technology to pursue this agenda does not exist, and will not likely exist for another 50-100 years, or

B. He will pursue this, because all along this has been part of a conspiracy to bring all people under a despotic bootheel, and it will collapse the economy.

Either way, I have hope. If it’s number 1, he won’t pursue this agenda, which is doomed to failure. If it’s number 2, there will be alot of pissed off people, and those people will rise up once they realize they have nothing to lose.

The best solution to these problems is to help wake up sheeple. The best way to wake sheeple up is to get involved by educating them to the facts–no matter how stubborn and hard-headed they may be.
