Obamacare To Cost Middle Class Families $15,000 A Year

Families struggling in the midst of a deep recession who earn a combined total greater than $88,200 and don’t have their health care covered by their employer will be hit with a mandatory annual fee of about $15,000 according to the Congressional Budget Office’s analysis of the final Senate Obamacare bill.
As we highlighted yesterday, the health care bill would introduce a raft of new taxes that would inevitably lead to higher costs that would be passed on to the public. A Boston Globe analysis revealed that there were at least 19 new taxes contained in the legislation which is set to be passed on Christmas Eve.
On top of this, a CBO analysis identifies five facts about the bill that will financially devastate families with an annual income greater than 400 percent of the federal poverty level.
Under Obamacare, Americans will be forced to buy government-approved health insurance and anyone earning a middle class wage will have to pay for it out of their own pocket. Federal subsidies will only be provided for people who are not offered coverage by their employer and earn below the 400 percent poverty level.
Employers will not be required to offer their workers coverage, being subject to a $750 annual penalty if they fail to do so, a figure most analysts say is not high enough to prevent employers from dropping their plans, meaning that more people will be forced to buy government health care.

“The Senate health care bill gives employers two powerful incentives to stop offering health insurance coverage to their workers,” writes Terry Jeffrey. “First, if an employer does offer coverage, its lower-wage workers will lose the federal insurance subsidy they would otherwise get. Secondly, if an employer does not offer coverage, the $750-per-worker fine it faces will be far less than the premiums it would pay if it did offer coverage.”
Costs are also set to soar as a result of insurance companies being hit with federal mandates that increase their risk.
“Policies purchased through the exchanges (or directly from insurers) would have to meet several requirements: In particular, insurers would have to accept all applicants, could not limit coverage for pre-existing medical conditions, and could not vary premiums to reflect differences in enrollees’ health,” according to the CBO.
This will inevitably force insurance companies to pass higher costs on to the public.
As a consequence of all these factors, families whose employers drop their plan will be forced to buy it on their own – at a cost of over $15,000 dollars a year.
“Average premiums per policy in the nongroup market in 2016 would be roughly $5,800 for single policies and $15,200 for family policies under the proposal,” states the CBO.
Jeffrey predicts that families being hit with a federally mandated $15,000-per-year insurance bill will provoke a “rebellion”.
“When that happens, the liberals will not say: We made a mistake. We never should have forced families out of their employer-based health insurance and required them to purchase a $15,000 policy,” he writes. “They will say: We told you so. We cannot trust these greedy insurance companies. We need a single-payer system so the government can provide everyone with health care. Just like they did in the Soviet Union.”

Now, now…. Not everyone had the opportunity to attend high school; and many of those that did were not required to learn anything. But, what I have a tough time understanding is that it’s very easy to add spell checking to your web browser and peeps don’t do it. I would be much worse speller if I didn’t have it. Ordinarily I would not advocate violence either and I do suggest a peaceful path as a first approach, but since there does not seem to be any lawful peaceful process available, and since the enforcement is obviously fraudulent and without authority, one can conclude that any enforcement will end up in your illegitimate death or enslavement at the hands of government. Under these current political conditions that we find ourselves (lorded over by an illegitimate criminal cabal masquerading as a government) the natural right of self defense is now warranted and authorized and using force to repel this threat is legitimate.

I would have to completely agree with you. Our founding fathers found themselves in an all too similar situation. After years of pleading with the king to stop the taxation, let the colonies govern themselves they finally came to the conclusion that if one was to self govern then one may have to defend and die for that right. Hence the birth of the United States of America and the freedoms we enjoy. Given an ever expanding bureaucracy, a Congress that does not listen to the American people they are supposed to represent, a president that is bent on destruction of the republic and an ever increasing tax base with an ever increasing debt burden due to spending I see no other alternative than to defend ourselves against tyranny which is exactly the name given to those articles I just described.

I am assuming you have anything that could be called reasonable and reliable EVIDENCE that Obama is a natural born Citizen then. Average non-supervisor wage in America is just under $20 per hour. Given a 40 hour work week, and two weeks vacation a year, that is 2,000 hours per year, or $40,000 per worker.
This means that the average working class couple earns approximately $80,000 combined per year. This is very, very close to the $88,000 minimum mentioned in the post above. In fact, if they earn just 10% more, $8,000, they will have to pay $15,000. This is a great incentive to keep your combined waged under $80,000 a year. After all, why bother earning $8,000 more, if it results in you having to pay an additional $15,000 in taxes? It is a massive losing proposition. Maybe THAT was the plan all along, to suppress average wages.
It is NOT the medical system that is broken, it is the bogus fiat money system that has so distorted everything, including and especially medical care, that no one can now afford it, but the wealthy.

Forget health insurance.
The government should just offer to provide a free education to any high school student that can qualify for med school, on the condition that they must provide free public health care for 5 years once they graduate, in order to get their license to practice privately.
Part of the price doctors should have to pay to gain the privilege of so greatly enriching themselves on the backs of the ailing poor and the middle class should be to provide free medical care, for 5 years, while living on a fixed stipend of $40,000 per year, the current average wage of the average non-supervisory American worker. Do this, and their medical school education is free. More people will flock to be doctors, free medical care for the poor will be guaranteed, and the price of medical care for all will decrease.
The problem isn’t the health care system, it is the money system, and how it has distorted the education and health care systems to make both unaffordable.

So, this monstrosity of a bill doesn’t go into effect until 5 yrs from now? I’m confused about when it will be implemented. I seem to recall the House bill taking effect in 2011. If the senate version says 5yrs from now, that will be a little relief. That gives the various states enough time to dispute the unconstitutionality of Obamacare. I read several states are already preparing to assist any citizen who wants to ’sue’.

Many of you may be thinking that you will never be forced to pay because of the high income figures posted in the article. But, $88K isn’t very much money to a household; and what will the fed consider household…the typical traditional household (married couple) or will it mean the combined income of everyone living under one roof (grandma, mom, dad and the kids)? Will the $88K include Mom and Dad’s Social Security and pension funds and the adult kids who never left home, including their worthless live in boy/girlfriend? If so..it can quickly adds up to $88K!
What is happening here is an attack on labor; all the gains over the last century are being undone. Labor is very quickly loosing it’s benefits. Do yourself a favor and read some of the literature about labor during the early to mid 1800’s. Read Orestes Brownson’s paper on labor; it is rather long, but also very enlightening.. Brownson speaks of slavery and the working poor and the difference in the classes and also rambles on about organized religion. It is very good read and I recommend it to everyone! Many of you will say, “Wow!;” and you may come to understand that the black slaves had it better off than many of the white working class did ( and do now in many countries). Furthermore, it serves as a warning that American workers may be enslaved again in the up and coming Prison Planet.

The two clauses of the constitution that the federal government now uses to justify anything and everything are the “commerce clause” and the “general welfare” clause. We may as well do away with the rest of the constitution, as the federal government considers anything and everything to be moving in interstate commerce, giving them jurisdiction, and anything and everything they do is for the “general welfare”.
If the Founders ever meant what those two clauses are deemed to mean today, then one has to marvel at why they even bothered to write the rest of the Constitution, because, under the current interpretation, it becomes totally irrelevant.

SINCE THE FEMA CAMPS ARE SUPPOSEDLY GOVERNMENT RUN, OWNED AND OPERATED I MUST ASK, WILL THEY BE HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE FOR SAY WHEELCHAIRS?
I MEAN BEING GOVERNMENT OWNED AND ALL I THOUGHT NATURALLY THAT WITH THE CURRENT STATUTES AND LAWS IN PLACE REGARDING THE SAME WAS……OH NEVER MIND

What makes these govt. idiots think they can run a health care system. They couldn’t even get their s--- right on the cash for clunkers program. Bottom line—LESS GOVERNMENT. Remember this, all of you. They need us-we don’t need them. What’s wrong with most of us is we are thinking wrongly. We are the boss. They are their for us, not the other way around. But we have to let them know every once in a while.

Insurance is a modern phenomenon (protection racket). I raised a family without insurance, my parents raised a family without insurance, their parents raised families without insurance; nowadays people think they can’t live without insurance. What happened to faith in God?
