Here is the thing, these msm elitist's know so little about guns or anything to do with them, they probably honestly dont know that their is a difference between a clip and ammunition. They probably think its the same thing. They are so ignorant, and fearfull of guns, they come off looking stupid, again!

The .22 was purchased online from a place right up the road from me in Green Bay.

I heard an interview with the owner, and he was saying that he was sick that this happened, and that everything was done legit. But the interviewer ( I think some lady on fox) asked something to the effect of, shouldnt it be harder to get a gun that powerfull? She was asking about the .22.

The guy had to explain just how low power a .22 is, and that they are only really used for target practice, and that no police or military in the world would consider a .22 because they are so low powered.

It just shows the total ignorance in the media, they are so out of touch it isnt even funny. But the sad thing is, they are growing more in touch with more Americans each year, there are so many people that are just as ignorant at the msm's it isnt even funny. It is one of our biggest problems.

Wow, is all I can say, if you are going to cover a story such as this, you know it ahead of time, you know what questions you may ask, you would think they would want to do a little research first to know what the information was on exactly what they were inquiring about, before they made such fools of themselves as they do constantly.

Some of the reporting has been quite ridiculous. In fact I haven't seen anyone report on exactly how the online purchase procedure works. No one has mentioned that it isn't anything like eBay or buying just about anything else online. Basically, you make the purchase, transefer the money, then the licensed dealer sends the firearm to another licensed dealer (or individual), all paperwork that is done in a face-to-face purchase is done before the buyer can take possession of the weapon. It's not a "back-door" or a "loop-hole" to purchasing a firearm...it is all the same as face-to-face except the process takes longer. The way the reporters talk about it, anyone can get around the system to buy and take possession of a firearm by purchasing online. That is just not true.

LOL! I laughed at that one too. A .22 is the gun you give your 12 year old son to learn and respect a gun as well as for target plinking. Sure, they have great distance and accuracy but they are minimally powerful. Heck, in the good-ol-days (about 15 years ago) I was able to go to the shooting range, by myself as a 16 year old and shoot as many .22 bullets as I could afford!!! Again, it isn't the gun that hurts, it's the MORON behind the gun. Luckily, I have a loving father that taught me to respect a gun; maybe more parents should teach their kids about guns rather than trying to "BAN" them.

Folks, I can kill you just as effectively with a .22 as any other pistol or rifle.  Just have to put it in a kill spot.  Head shot works good.

With a .22 a head shot isn't even assured to kill. I remember a Chicago MOB hit in the 80s where a guy was shot with a .22 several times execution style in the head and he lived. My dad was a cop for many years and once arrested a guy and charged him with the beating death of another man. The other man had shot the guy my Dad arrested 8 times with a .22. It made him mad and he beat the shooter to death!

are you kidding?  how is a discussion of the media's misreporting the particulars of a major news event contribute to creating a copycat killer?  i'm sorry, but i live here in blacksburg ... the media needs to be called out for its midconduct ... this place is livid over the lack of professionalism from the national media ... NB is one of the very few places that even seems to give a damn about this problem.
