The fact that this study design contains elementary errors and the original study design recommendation was over-ridden is all one needs to know about its merits.

Patrons99-"Was an INFORMED CONSENT administered (to you) as to your child's inoculations on 5-9-02?"

Informed-NO, Consent-YES. The informed part came later by reading blogs like AOA and others.
"Were any of the inoculations on 5-9-02 MANDATED by the State?"

NO, These inoculations were "strongly reccomended" by his Doctor. His three older siblings seemed not to be effected by them. Three of his 5 younger siblings have never been vaccinated and have never been sick in there lives.

Love the choice of photo, worthy of a poster - a photo of the poison warning with the caption "CDC says this is safe to give to every child"

Perhaps someone from the CDC would just like to answer "Why is there a skull and crossbones warning label on something your agency is claiming to be safe?"

    John Stone

This is the text my letter to PEDIATRICS which they have now published on-line:

'Can this study design produce a useful result?

'The logic of this study is puzzling and after many years of the mercury/autism controversy will do nothing to quieten it. It is as if Sir Richard Doll had tried to lay the smoking controversy to rest by concluding that as not all smokers get lung cancer smoking does not cause lung cancer. This rather trite point will be evident to many people and it is surprising that a study itself many years in the pipeline should be open to such basic criticisms. To learn anything much we need an unexposed population. Most people will also assume that the alleged protective effect of mercury against autism reported in the study is an artefact of the design.'

Mat - "Where does one go from here?"

Your child's God-given natural rights were violated on 5-9-02.

Was an INFORMED CONSENT administered (to you) as to your child's inoculations on 5-9-02?

Were any of the inoculations on 5-9-02 MANDATED by the State?

    Matt

One would think that the amount of vaccines given to my son on that date, hot lots and all, with the illness and Autism that followed would at least be looked at in vaccine court. An Order from the office of special masters arrived today, tossing him out of vaccine court. Where does one go from here?

    Nicole M.

I agree with Matt. Let's just condense it so it fits on a bumper sticker.

    Birgit Calhoun

It's obvious that this study, like all the other studies of this ilk, is designed to make sure that even a poorly crafted lie eventually rings true. I am glad someone is checking.

    Jake Crosby

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the one study refuting the link that is "rigorous" according to the CDC.

    Benedetta

    I am so sorry Matt.
In a case like - a parent should be allowed to sue the doctor because that is just so criminally wrong.

Even in the 80's you separated the shots.

“Key studies purporting to show no evidence of harm for Thimerosal, the mercury-based compound still used as a “preservative” in flu shots, are characterized by fraud and manipulation, according to vaccine safety advocates.”

See the press release of September 15, 2010, titled “Vaccine Studies Apparently False”.

"...characterized by fraud and manipulation...". No kidding! Actually, they represent orchestrated crimes against humanity. Are we fed up yet? Isn't it time these sociopaths were reigned-in? Why do medical journals accept pharma-sponsored misinformation for publication? Publication bias? Hmmmmm.

    Matt

On 5-9-02, at 17 months, the following vaccines were administered to our child who had an ear infection and was on antibiotics at the time...
    DTaP; skb; Lot 527a2
    PedvaxHIB; lederle; Lot 480935
    Prevnar; lederle; Lot 483-164
    Polio; Aventis;
    MMR; merck; Lot 1097L
Words cannot discribe how sick this child was in the following weeks.

could Safeminds have confused the issue more? Geez - how about just using an analogy: people who develop lung cancer, stop smoking. Those who don't develop cancer, keep smoking. Therefore, those who smoke longer are protected from lung cancer.

That's the reasoning behind the 'mercury is protective' theory. That's the reasoning in the 2004 study. We don't have to fall all over ourselves trying to explain junk science.

Perhaps people lucky enough to have obtained their lot numbers before they became unavailalbe, should provide them here (or somewhere) so that they may be compared....Hot lots and all. It may be an interesting story...
