and processing technology, the WebEye camera server
can transmit real-time images for up to 100 simultaneous
users.

By connecting the WebEye onto the Internet, real-time
image monitoring from remote places can be done through
Web browsers.
WebEye is an all-in-one web camera server with high
performance compression image powered by state of the
art of Web server of embedded Linux, networking capability
device, and a CCD module. All are built in the hard
case of WebEye whose size is relatively similar to an
existing CCTV camera. You only need power and network
connection for WebEye cams to operate.
WebEye adopts cutting-edge technologies of networking
and digital image processing. As WebEye consists in
a high performance CPU (32bit RISC) running embedded
Linux, it allows up to 100 users to connect simultaneously.
Further more, WebEye utilizes Wavelet technology, that
is an algorithm to compress still images in digital
mode and has efficiency higher than JPEG by 30% - 300%.
Therefore the size of the compressed image is smaller
than any other web cameras. For this reason, WebEye
transfers motion pictures with crystal clarity and high
speed over the Internet. Compared to PC cameras or other
web cameras that can transfer images at 1-3 fps (frames
per second), WebEye is able to compress and transfer
images over 30 fps providing a resolution of 360 X 243.

Easy To Use It does not require any use of a PC frame
grabber card or interaction with any other server; the
only necessary software is a standard web browser like
Microsoft Internet Explorer(4.x or above) or Netscape
Navigator(4.x or above). It is complete plug & play
system; all you need to do is assigning a valid IP address.

Motion Detection and Alarm WebEye can send e-mail
and up to 5 pictures of "events" that triggered
the alarm.

Wavelet Image Compression Wavelet is much more efficient
than JPEG or MJPEG. One Wavelet image file size is one-fifth
the size of a JPEG image file. Therefore the refresh
rate is superior to JPEG. Picture quality is also superior
with Wavelet.

Linux Operating System Greater stability than other
operating systems. Linux OS rarely crashes. Operating
system is only 900Kb. The small size means it is much
more responsive than a much larger operation system.

External Video Inputs WebEye has one camera built-in,
but more external CCTV cameras can be added. WebEyeE104
can be connected with 3 external video cameras, easily
through BNC jacks, so that you can see 4 pictures at
one screen (quad mode or one by one). WebEyeE10 can
be connected with one more external camera through the
RS-232 connection.

and user-configurable area of about 6MB out of 8MB flash
memory. It means you have your own web server and it
allows you to create your homepage or free zone in your
