For Belts
ordered "Without buckle" Measure your belt from here, to
the hole you use.
For belts
ordered "With a buckle" measure your belt from here, to the hole you
use.
Why are there 2 different places to measure from?
The difference between the two
measuring points is the length of the buckle. If you are going
to use a buckle that you have, I don't know how long it is, so I can
only measure from where the belt folds around the buckle. You have to
determine how much to subtract from the "with a buckle" dimension to
determine where the fold will be. When I make a belt using a buckle I
have, I can determine where the fold will be.
What does the "Finish" select if I don't order a buckle from you?
It selects the color of the Chicago Screws. Nickel is used with
Silver buckles.
What's the deal with the "If No Buckle" choices?
If you are ordering a buckle from me, forget about them. I know
what to do. If you are going to use a buckle that you have, like a flat
silver buckle that has a prong on the back, you don't need the tongue
slot. With that type of buckle the keeper loop can just get in the way
or make you have to wear the belt with the buckle off center and you
may not want it. Some poorly designed flat buckles have a folding
rectangular attachment point that extends past the end of
the buckle. They need the keeper loop. End bar buckles like the #1
buckle shown in the picture need the keeper loop. Center bar buckles
like the # 2,3,4 and 5 buckles do not use a keeper loop but need the
tongue slot.
