A few of you have noticed a change in our submission schedule. We have replaced two of our Family Matters reading periods with Short Story Award for New Writers. Since our inception we have made a point of inviting the work of emerging writers; publishing great stories by new voices is exciting for us. Stories of families are, of course, always welcome so we hope this expansion of new writer opportunities does not exclude many people who have family stories. Our apologies to those of you it does affect.
