  • The Very Short Fiction competition closes August 31. Maximum word count: 3,000.
    First-place wins $1,200 and publication in Glimmer Train Stories Issue 73. Second- and third-place winners win $500/$300 (or, if chosen for publication, $700).
  • Winners of the May Short Story Award for New Writers competition have been notified, and the Top-25 list is posted! (And remember you can always check status of your online submissions by logging in and clicking on My Submissions.)
