Dog-e-Tag™

The World's First Digital Dog Tag

Dog-e-Tag™ uses proven technology to provide a shock resistant case, which is waterproof to 165 feet (50m), and works in a wide range of temperatures. The lens is scratch resistant, and the display automatically illuminates once either button is pushed, making it easy to read at night or under any low light conditions. It is securely attached to the dog's existing collar, and is easily viewed without being removed. Unlike conventional tags, where as many three tags may be needed to convey the necessary information, Dog-e-Tag™ provides a silent solution to the constant clatter of metal tags.

A high resolution digital display is viewed when either of the two buttons are pushed. All of the information can be scrolled, forward or backward, stopping at any time. If you move, your area code changes, or you are out of town for the weekend, you can quickly update the information by simply pushing buttons on the device. The buttons are used in simple sequence to enter information one letter or number at a time while graphic symbols are used to help you through this process. This also allows for moving Dog-e-Tag™ from pet to pet.

When programming Dog-e-Tag™, a personal identification number(PIN)may be used to prevent the stored information from being changed. Additionally, this tag can be used around the world. English, French, German, Italian and Spanish characters are all included. Once the language has been selected, Dog-e-Tag™ automatically provides all of the necessary signs and symbols needed.

F.A.Qs.

How is the information entered?
All of the information is entered by the user. By using the buttons on the tag, a simple sequence is followed to select, enter and store the personal identification number, language, and all forty lines of text. No other device or computer is needed.

Is it hard to program?
The best, and fastest, way to enter information is to fill out the “Data Log” provided in the instruction booklet prior to entry. This helps you in three ways. First, you can view all the text and symbols available to you. Next, you can enter data much faster if you are looking at the words, as opposed to thinking of them as you enter. Last but not least, you will have a record of what is in the tag. Use a pencil so that changes can easily be made.

Am I allowed to enter my dog's license number?
Please check with your local city, county or state officials. The rule differs depending on where you live. Some places only require that you purchase the “number”. This means it can be displayed on the dog any way you wish. However, some areas require that you use their specific tag, as there is a fee associated with this. Fortunately, Dog-e-Tag™ has no problem sharing your dogs collar with another tag!

Can I replace the battery myself?
Yes, very easily. All that is required is a small jeweler's type screwdriver, such as one used to tighten screws on eyeglasses. The typical watch battery is style # CR2025 and can be purchased at any watch or electronics store.

Will I lose the stored information when the battery is replaced?
No! You have about 30 seconds before data is lost. This does not mean the tag has to be completely closed and operational, only that the new battery is making contact in the correct orientation.
